Neighbor’s Gossip Hits The Web

While browsing through the Pittsburgh Homes Daily page I found this interesting article from Jackie Cueno’s blog from Zephyr Real Estate in San Francisco. She explains that one of her clients (which she choose to keep anonymous) told her about a new website where homeowners and soon to be new homeowners can check who is causing a ruckus in their neighborhood before they make the move.

Normally when homebuyers have zeroed in on a neighborhood, they check the Megan’s Law Database, check for school rankings, etc, etc but now they have yet another website where they can go and see if that neighborhood is really where they want to live in.

Lunched in July 29th 2007, rottenneighbor.com is a site where users input their neighbor’s noisy, nasty and bad habits for everyone to see.

Although, as Jackie said it in her page, it is suggested that you “Take it with a grain of sat of course” because any user can input a message about their neighbor’s bad habits. But in really, some of those statements could have been the result of a simple misunderstanding between neighbors and there is no way to prove this website’s findings are true until the seller discloses such facts or you have actually moved next to a rotten neighbor.
